About The 4th SRSE 2022

Guangzhou Virtual Conf., Dec. 15-18

The 4th International Conference on System Reliability and Safety Engineering (SRSE 2022) was held successfully during December 15-18, 2022 in virtual, due to the outbreaks and continuing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic recently. The conference is sponsored by Sun Yat-Sen University, IEEE, IEEE Reliability Society, supported by National University of Singapore, patrons with Beijing Institute of Technology, Guangdong University of Technology, Harbin Institute of Technology, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Qingdao University, Shanghai University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Zhejiang Gongshang University, City University of Hong Kong, University of Alberta, The Fifth Electronics Research Institute of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, organized by School of Intelligent Systems Engineering, Sun Yat-sen University, China. More than 140 delegates from China, USA, Canada, UK, Korea, Japan, etc attended the online conference, and in-depth discussions among the attendees effectively advanced the academic exchange.

About Conference Online

After the online test, the conference stared on Dec.16. Conference General Chair Prof. Loon Ching Tang (National University of Singapore) gave the Opening Remarks and expressed his sincere gratitude to the co-organizers and warm welcome to all the experts and scholars attending the conference. Prof. Guang Tan (Sun Yat-sen University) delivered welcome address on behalf of Sun Yat-Sen University. And organization committee chair Prof. Weiwen Peng (Sun Yat-sen University) gave the program address, with brief introduction to the organization of SRSE 2022, the review process and collection status of articles this year.

This year, five distinguished professors delivered the keynote speeches and four experts delivered invite speeches. They are

What's more, 14 special sessions were held among the topics Reliability Modeling and Optimization of Key Complex Systems; Machine Learning and Data Analytics in Reliability Modeling, Warranty Optimization, and Degradation Data Analysis; Resilience and Maintenance Modeling of
Complex Systems; Reliability Estimation from Degradation Data Analysis; Reliability Centered Studies on Optimization, Statistics and Application; Data-driven Approaches in Reliability and Operations Management; Reliability and Resilience of Complex Systems; Modeling, Assessing and Optimizing Critical Systems for Reliability and Safety Enhancement; High-reliability Distributed Control, Estimation and Optimization of Networked Systems, etc.

According to the review of the organizing committee and discussion organizing committee meeting, two best papers and two student papers were selected after the competition. For each parallel session went through smoothly and a “Best Oral Presentation” award was issued at the end of sub-conference, with the support of session chairs.
